President’s message
Dear colleagues,
It is my honor and pleasure to welcome you all to the 31st annual scientific congress of College of Ophthalmologists of Sri Lanka, which will take place from 14th,15th, 16th and17th of September 2023 at Cinnamon Grand Hotel Colombo. This year it will be a combined conference with Association of Vitreo Retina Specialists.
Our theme this year is “Towards a Novel Era of Eye Care,” which reflects the tremendous progress that has been made in our field in recent years.
As ophthalmologists, we are fortunate to work in a time of unprecedented innovation and progress. From new surgical techniques to cutting-edge imaging technologies and gene therapies, the possibilities for improving patient outcomes are more exciting than ever before.
However, we also know that there is still much work to be done. With the increasing prevalence of conditions such as cataracts, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma, it is more important than ever that we continue to collaborate and innovate in our efforts to improve patient outcomes.
This congress is an unparalleled opportunity to connect with fellow ophthalmologists from around the world, learn from leading experts in the field, and discover the latest advancements in ophthalmology.
